I don't really draw too much and am too critical if I do. Not much new going on. I'm sure that one day I'll post more then just a doodle again. In the meanwhile, there's always what I already have, to look at.

Final Fantasy XI

This is what I do in my spare time intstead of drawing or doing something constructive. Want to know more about my character? Go here. Or you can look me up on Gilgamesh (same name, of course).

I turned on the radio this afternoon to hear the words "Michael Jackson is dead." I thought I was hearing things. First thing I did was phone Bill and tell him to check Wikipedia. It wasn't listed and they continued on the radio to say it was reported by only TMZ. Well, TMZ is retarded and even CNN hadn't confirmed the death. I actually didn't believe it. But during the drive home, both the L.A. Times and CNN confirmed it and then it was on Wikipedia.

I cried a little.

The death of any other celebrity has never made a tear come to my eye.

Michael Jackson was the Elvis of my generation. He was an amazing artist and an inspiration to so many modern artists of today. I loved him, his music and performances. Even to today, he's an icon. Look at all those concerts that were still sold out in a matter of hours a year before the date.

He had his problems and I do believe he had mental illness. He was able to and did buy his childhood. I would do it if I had his kind of money. Hell, I have more toys now (well, video games) then I ever did as a kid because I was never allowed them. He wasn't allowed to be a kid, so as an adult, he bought it. People say he was a child molestor, I say he played with the kids as if he was a kid and these kids parents saw his mental illness and took advantage of him. He did so many good things for sick kids.

I don't really want to debate it with anyone. I see him as a pop legend and he will be missed by me. I was actually looking forward to seeing how the upcoming tour was going to turn out and if anything new from him would come out of it.

I still to this day listen to his music and get excited when someone covers one of his songs. I really hope that all these other musicians and artists do tribute to him. I wonder what will come out of this.

I promise, the world will never see another original and talented artist like him.

Please, I ask very nicely, don't slander him. The man is dead. If he did wrong, no wrong can be done anymore. Remember the good, remember him as the King of Pop. Or if you will, please not in my journal. Even if you are a close friend, I will still remove the comment.

Just a side note, I am aware the Farrah Fawcett died today as well. She is an icon in her own area. It is sad that her death is to the back burner to Michael Jackson. She was an amazing woman too. What she had to endure with her battle with cancer was very sad. Unfortunately, I don't know much more about her then that she was a sex icon in my parent's time and that she fought terminal cancer.

Rest in peace Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett. The world will miss you both.

Heh... thanks for the compiment! Truth be told, I had no idea that you had a talent for the arts too. I just found out because I frequent ~mizunosailormercury 's page and saw your comment there. It's funny, you know of a person for so many years and still are surprised by things you thought you would know.
Hey hey,

I had seen your graphics work years back on the board but I didn't realize you were good at drawing too (faved old man pixar)!

Also--thank you for the watch :)
